BECOME A MEMBER

WHY TO BE A MEMBER?

As a member of the society, you support the promotion of Estonianness in Switzerland, you are the basis for the continuation of the society's activities and you have the right to vote at the society's general meeting. Participation fee for the events is lower and because the information is sent earlier, you have priority when registering for events. At the end of the year you receive an invitation to celebrate the Independence Day by post.

WHO CAN BE A MEMBER?

Any adult from Estonia or with Estonian roots living in Switzerland can be a member of the association. One has to expresses a wish to do so, recognize the statutes of the society and pay the membership fee.

HOW TO BECOME A MEMBER?

If you want to become a member of the association, click on the "Become a member" button, fill in the required fields and pay the membership fee to the bank account below. If you want a pink bank payment slip, let us know and we will send it by post.

MEMBERSHIP FEE

The membership fee is 35.- (or more) per year. There is no upper limit. The Board of the Swiss Estonian Association operates on a voluntary basis and no remuneration is paid. The operating expenses of SEA are covered only by membership fees. We are grateful for your contribution!

WHEN DOES MEMBERSHIP END?

If you no longer wish to be a member, send us an email. A member is deleted from the list if the member has not paid the membership fee during the previous 2 years. However, if there is a wish to remain a member, it is possible to pay the membership fee in arrears.

If you don't want or can't be a FULL MEMBER, then ...

... you have the opportunity to be our SUPPORTING MEMBER or OBSERVER. Being a member of the Estonian Swiss Association is not an obligation but a privilege. We expect all Estonians and their families to join! But we are also happy for each SUPPORTING MEMBER and NEWSPERSON.

A SUPPORTING MEMBER is a person who supports the activities of the society financially, but cannot be a member with the right to vote. He or she wishes to be involved in the activities of the SEA but is not Estonian or does not have Estonian roots. A supporting member may be a person who is a Swiss resident and has made a transfer to the SEA's bank account. To become a supporting member send us an e-mail.

AN OBSERVER is a person who wants to receive information about the activities of the SEA by e-mail. Maybe she or he is just waiting for the impulse to become a member or wants to follow our activities from a foreign country and is interested in the activities of Estonians in Switzerland.
